Event Coordinators

Established in 2003 as a hobby, Balloons by Design & Funfair hire is fast becoming one of Lancashire’s leading balloon decorating companies. We are a family run company with an eye for detail and perfection. Our mission is to provide every customer with a first class product at the best price and a service that is second to none.

In 2005 saw us become a member of the Qualatex Balloon Network (QBN®), a professional organisation with about 5000 members worldwide, dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in balloon decor and bouquets. As QBN members, businesses commit to sound and honourable business practices, continuing education, and the belief that balloons create atmosphere and communicate emotion in a uniquely effective way. This has required us to attend training courses and pass exams set by the manufacturer of our core product.

In July 2006 Nicola passed her final exam & panel interview to become Burnley and Pendle’s only Certified Balloon Artists, the highest level of accreditation and the only worldwide recognised qualification in balloon artistry.

In July 2007 saw us open our shop Balloons by Design & Funfair hire on Trafalgar Street Burnley. With all are staff trained to CBA standard, we specialise in extravagant decorations, including special effects such as exploding balloons and confetti cannons, whilst taking care to combine these effects with simple, but stunning centrepieces, arches, pillars, sculptures and canopies. We can even supply Bouncy Castle, Slides, Children’s Rides and the ultimate Rodeo Bull for that special occasion.

We are based in Burnley and are able to supply and decorate to a wide area in Lancashire, and the North West of England. We have experience in decorating all venues from the smallest party to large corporate events. Our personalised bouquets can be hand delivered to your family and friends to create a wonderful gift and smile on their special day.

In 2009 saw our company becoming part of the BOA and are proud to be Burnley Football Club’s official decorator and event organiser.

We are open 6 days a week and are available for orders and enquiries every day including Sundays. We can also arrange appointments either at your home or at a venue out of hours if required.
